The West Virginia Automobile Retail Sales Installment Contract

The sale of an automobile is generally a consumer credit sale transaction, but it could also be a consumer loan. The rules governing the two types of transaction are different. If you are a resident of West Virginia and have either a retail sales instalment contact ("RISC") or a consumer loan that you signed within the last four years, you may be entitled to compensation.  Please contact us for a complementary review of your purchase documentation.

West Virginia Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement

West Virginia law allows certain charges to be financed as part of the purchase price of the automobile. Let JLS review your documentation to ensure that the items you financed pursuant to your purchase agreement comply with the law.

The Retail Sales Installment Contract

The RISC is your consumer credit sale. It details the items that you are paying over time with interest. The consumer credit sale is generally assigned to the creditor to whom you make payments at the time of sale or soon thereafter. JLS wants to see both your purchase agreement and your RISC.

What did I pay for?

Let JLS review your extended service contract and road hazard agreements to ensure that the value you received for the purchase is commensurate with the purchase price.
